RAMI Award for “Song of the Year”

This past weekend at the Rockford Area Music Industry Awards we were honored with the award for “Song of the Year” for the song “Surface” off our latest EP “Out From Within”.  We are honored to have received this award and would like to thank the RAMI Committee for recognizing this song!

We are plugging away in the studio recording the new album.  Five new songs have been written and will be debuted on the new record.  We are looking at a mid to end of summer release and will keep you all posted!

Summer tour dates are filling in and being added to the tour calendar every week….so keep checking in to see if we will be headed to your town!

We are making some great progress on the new album.  There will 4 or 5 new songs on the release that audiences have not heard yet and they are good ones so we are excited to share these songs with you all.  We are aiming for an early summer release and will be keeping everyone posted as we near the completion of the recording process.

Some great shows are scheduled for the upcoming months.  We play this weekend in Rockford at Franchesco’s and then off to Aurora, IL to play at Two Brothers Roundhouse with our good friends Lincoln Don’t Lie….A Chicago show is scheduled on April 5th at Hard Rock Cafe and the following weekend we jet off to Fort Wayne, IN to the Tiger Room and back to the Southgate House in Newport, KY to help 500 Miles to Memphis celebrate there 10 year anniversary.  Check out the tour page for more great shows coming your way.

The New Year!

The band is taking a couple months off from live shows in order to get the recording process for the new album done.  We couldn’t be more excited to get these songs tracked and in your hands by summertime.  Some solo/duo acoustic shows may pop up, so keep your eyes and ears open.  We will be back to playing as a full band in March….our first show will be at my favorite dive bar Mary’s Place in Rockford, IL  March 1st.  We will be fresh out of the studio, fine tuned and ready to play for you….so put March 1st on the calendar and come join us in Rock-Town for a great night!

What’s Happenin’ Now….

We’ve returned from Nashville which was a great trip as always and heading back into the studio to continue the recording of the full length album “Heartbreak Heart”.  We have some great shows coming up this fall….We are playing the On the Waterfront Festival in Rockford, Il.  Aug. 31st from 5:30 to 7pm on the Oasis Stage in front of Miles Nielsen and The BoDeans.  We are hitting Iowa in October and Indiana and Kentucky in November….and plans are in the works to hit some cities in the East Coast soon as well.  Stayed tuned for more great news and shows to come…..

The words fall out from within….

This is my first endeavor as a Producer on an album and I’m very proud of it.  These songs have a very deep meaning to me and it’s the most vulnerable I have ever been as a writer.  Songs capture moments in time and for me these songs are a strong part of moments I have lived and they will live forever in these songs so I felt very compelled to share them.  What started out as an effort to put something together to help raise money to do the full length album ended up being my most heartfelt and prized work I have done to date.

Oh Iowa!!

This Friday night we make our way to Iowa City, IA to play at The Mill and grab some delicious hummus and falafel treats at Oasis….then off to Des Moines, IA SATURDAY night to play one of our favorite places… The Gas Lamp.  SUNDAY night we bring it back home to Rockford to play an intimate show at Just Goods on 7th Street…7pm.  Please find us out in the world this weekend and we will play you our sweet tunes and cheers you with cocktails.
